Motorist hurt in crash sues Bob Geldof for £300000 Daily Mail
Bob Geldof is being sued for £300,000 by a motorcyclist who was badly injured after being hit by his car.
Andrew Quinn shattered his right leg in two places and splintered his knee joint when his motorcycle collided with the singer's silver Lexus after it suddenly performed a U-turn.
The 42-year-old - who used to enjoy snowboarding and rock climbing - was told he would suffer early arthritis in his leg and that it would never heal properly.
The father-of-one issued the writ against Mr Geldof in the High Court on Tuesday and is demanding unlimited damages.
Although the writ is for at least £300,000, if he is successful he may be able to claim a higher amount.
Mr Quinn claims he was driving his £4,000 Honda motorbike at 25mph along the King's Road in South-West London when the musician suddenly did a U-turn in front of him.
