Riding Out the Recession: Fully Comprehensive Motorbike Insurance the Most ... Earthtimes (press release)
MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM -- 04/21/10 -- Over two thirds of bikers now take out fully comprehensive policies when choosing motorbike insurance according to figures released by Swinton today. An online survey of 1,200 customers by Swinton Bikes, one of the UK's leading motorbike insurance brokers, found that 63.6% of bikers chose a fully comprehensive policy when insuring their bikes. The remainder of customers had Third Party Fire and Theft insurance.
This is a stark contrast to the number of Fully Comprehensive policies that were being taken out 12 months ago. Despite the ongoing recession and the rise in cheaper insurance policies being taken out, such as 'Third Party, Fire and Theft', the results show that bikers are going against the trend.
Anthony Aronin, Head of Swinton Bikes, one of the UK's leading motorcycle insurance brokers said: "Choosing the right motorbike insurance can be quite confusing. There are a lot of things that need to be considered, including the cost of the policy. Bikers need to consider the usage of their motorcycle and also how much they risk by not taking out a comprehensive policy.
